Eligibility and Requirements

Anyone age 50+ living within 100 miles of Wood County is eligible to participate. Individual artists may submit up to two (2) original works in any two or three-dimensional medium. BGAC members may submit up to three (3) artworks. Size limit is 48" w x 48"h.

Work previously exhibited at a BGAC show is not eligible. BGAC reserves the right to reject any work that we consider inappropriate or that does meet eligibility requirements.

February 3 – 27                     Exhibition Dates

Monday, February 2.                  Opening Reception  ( 5 - 8 p.m.)

Monday, March 2                   Artists pick up work  (1 - 4 p.m.)

An entry fee of $25.00 for each artist entitles that artist to enter one or two of their own works (BGAC members may enter three). Group entries are not permitted. Entry fees are used for promotion and activities of BGAC.

Eligible artists who meet the above eligibility requirements may complete the online form available from December 1 through January 15.

 

Mail your check to the address below by January 20. Make sure the name of the artist is noted on the check.

You may also mail or drop off the entry form on the back of this page, with your check for $25 payable to BGAC to: BG Arts Council c/o Wood County Senior Center 140 S Grove St., Bowling Green, OH 43402

Registration Fees/Forms must be postmarked / delivered to the Senior Center by January 15. You can also pay the registration fee online, but you must still fill out the online registration form as well.

Preparing Your Work for Entry

All work must be properly presented.

2D Paintings, photos, drawings, etc. must be framed; works on paper must be framed under glass or acrylic. Wood frames must have inside mounted screw eyes with sturdy wire securely attached. Metal frames must have wire attached to hangers on each side of the back of the frame.

3D  Three-dimensional work should be securely attached to any base, if used. Small 3-D work such as jewelry should be displayed in a shadow-box frame or other protective mount.

Labels (page 4) should be attached to the upper right-hand corner on the front of each entry. Show labels will be provided for display based on the information submitted on the Registration Form (page 3).  Label information cannot be changed at intake.  Make sure you consider the cost of framing when you price your work. Sales and Insurance

Sales and Insurance/Liability

You may sell your artwork at this show. No commissions will be taken.  Sale prices OR “not for sale (NFS)” should be marked clearly on entry forms. If no price is listed, it will be considered ‘not for sale.’  Purchased artwork may be claimed on the pick-up date.

Work will not be insured. Neither the BG Arts Council nor the Wood County Committee on Aging will be responsible for any damage or loss of the artwork.

Liability

Delivering an entry to this exhibition shall constitute agreement with all conditions in this prospectus.
